no such thing

no such thing

A Poem by Christel Grady
"

Inspired by a song from John Mayer.

"

sleep the dreams

of peacefulness

tranquility becomes me

with you and

love is the one

entity I've searched for

all these years

i look for dreams of peacefulness away from all daily cares and worries,i look for tranquility and piece of mind,i look for you ,loving me i searched all these years ,i want to rest and enjoy my life with you ,this is nice short and to the point,i see so much sadness ,i feel it,i see you have tried a lot and now you just wish for some peace and love ,nice ,lots of feelings behind those few words,i really wish you find your peace at last...

The impossibility of finding peace where the searching for something that seems to lay there beyond our reach. In shadows the words of inspiration linger awaiting us like slumbering giants with their own purpose and reasons. I love the intense thoughts that flooded my head as I read these words. You are a master of saying so much with so little. Wonderfully written and so capturing.

Great Job!!!!!!

nice emjambment in this "with you and... love is..." that could be read a couple of different ways, all good i think, very effective i thought. great flow, mood, etc, i liked it very much.

endings have always been difficult for me to write. all poems have to end somehow, most of mine end badly, or i guess weakly is a better way to describe it. the last line here kind of trails off, goes nowhere. is there sometime else you would rather say with that last line?

all the same, enjoyed this very much my friend, thanks for sending it to me

This is an awesome poem. It says so much with so few words. That takes a lot of talent to pull of! You sense of peacefulness is conveyed perfectly and the sense of having found a refuge from the world in your love is a beautiful concept. I also like the implication of a quest, like you have been searching for a treaure, and love is indeed something to treasure. Well done!
