This is exactly the kind of thing I like to read. It's short and to the point and yet you say so much without really saying much at all. I feel this way everyday when I look at the people and bustle of life around me and I wonder when the bombs are going to hit the surface. They've been flying around for years now and it's only a matter of time before they crash. I kind of look forward to it. I'll sing and dance in the naked streets and look forward to the beauty of a new world born that I will never get to see.

"Touch it quick" i like this poem, i does have a driving movement to it, i like the intense interaction of "touching" the decay of the world, experience it rather than telling it... that is knowledge. very well composed. also, i liked your james madison quote. zig
Don't think it's just politics. The whole world is slumping into a bad, bad place. But look at the bright side, we're living through history! LOL That's what my mother and I say to take the edge off as we watch the planet fall apart.
"I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."
James Madison
