You Don't Even Know Me

You Don't Even Know Me

A Poem by Christina Braceros

You sit there and judge

when your the worst

between the both of us

You sit and say

you better than me

but you don't seem to see

you just aren't me

You don't know me

so how can you sit there and judge me

if you can't see

You don't even know me

quit pretending

You don't see through my eyes

you don't even realize

you don't live my life

so quit thinking your better than I

your no different than me

except your more than fake

and you sit there and hate

no more of it can I take

You don't even know me

so quit acting

like you see me

and quit treating

me like a baby

Because you don't even know me

you may have carried me

but you don't love me

and you can't save me

so quit saying

" I know who you are"

when you don't even know where you are

You don't know me

and you never will

From mother to daughter

I'm adapting your hate

and a daughters love fades

You don't know me

your just pretending

I really like this poem, it was flowing with streams of poetic verses, The lines quit acting, and quit treating me like a baby.. very well put! I like the way it ended.. You don't know me, you're just pretending.. Very clever and a very good write. Thanks for sharing this ...:) Frank
