A Poem by Christina Braceros

What is a home?

I don't know

for where I am at,

this isn't home

thoough I call it one

this place is a hell Hol-

ly Christ, another fight

another beat down tonight

dad watches the entertainment

mother chokes without a care

in her hands she throttles my throa-

no she let me go

fall to the floor

no words

from no one

What is home?

is it nice?

I wouldn't know

I am always ignored

Do people listen?

or do bits of you go missing?

What's a home?

let me know

because this can't be it

this place of hell

in which I live

An abused child listens off in the distance, wondering if he'll ever find his one true home with a kind loving family that cares for him. magnificant poem by the way. Keep up the fantabulous poem writting Olivia!
