Dancing With a Ghost

Dancing With a Ghost

A Poem by Christina Braceros

Like the wind blows

my feelings take flight

they drift down the street

like a playful leaf

that fell from a tree

or a whirlwind of dirt

twirly and perfect

as they dance together

leaves and wind

a perfect waltz

with two lovers

showing what is there

and what is not

what is solid

and what tavels like a ghost

but when the dance is over

they fade away

as if it never happened

they split in to

like a forbidden love
