Bruise Me

Bruise Me

A Poem by Christina Braceros

Bruise me

black and blue

Bruise me

like you always do

I have no red heart

it's bruised inside and out

I can't smile like I used to,

the reason I have is you

You know what you do

you like bruising me

black and blue

your power

my greatest fear.

You have to take your own power back, will power. Never allow yourself to be brutalized, beaten black and blue. No one has the right to that to anyone else. They have no power if we do not allow it to be in their hands. Try to remember that there is no fear but in fear itself. I've been there, been a victim too many times, today I am a survivor. Thank you for sharing this writing. Debileah
