You Loved Me Once

You Loved Me Once

A Poem by Christina Braceros

Hate boils

beneath the skin

red anger

hidden within

you point fingers

and blame me

i hate how you hate

you dont realize the pain

i can't love

your smile smug

you know you inflict

damage beyong repair

that spreads

pumps through my veins

your words are venom

injected small amounts

to get me to shut my mouth

yoo lived me once

when I was little

You hate me now

that i'm bigger

you never understood me

you only burned me

I have no confidence

no self-esteem

I know I'm worth nothing

but through my hate

for you

I still love you

striving to have you love me to

what a fool to love

where love is not present

and a heartbeat

is steel

your abuse

hard and cruel

teaches me no hope

or feeling

you loved me once

when I was little

you hate me now

for I'm bigger

That's a very sad poem and it's interesting how you broke the words up. It's not bad it's just interesting. Maybe I should try doing that with a poem. Do you mind?
