THIS SAILORS LONELY HEART

THIS SAILORS LONELY HEART

A Poem by Christina Braceros

i am not the prettiest girl, but i hope you wait for an honest heart

i am not the smartest, but i wish you stay even though we are apart

i wish and hope yet what is a sailor to do, but ride the waves of an ever haunting loneliness

i watch the sun disappear behind the mountains of space

oh help me as i sink upon the endless memories

upon which i watch them pass me by

face to face, i see your face

in my dreams, i can feel you

in my reality your not here are you?

im insecure at times, your so far

i miss you so i try to hate you, forgive me for im longing to be next to you

a sailors greatest enemy is the emptiness

but you know that clearly, you suffer like i do

dont you?

the fear of you disappearing like the sun behind this mountain of space

oh bleeding heart of loving endearment

i feel the fast pace, of the grey cloud of nothing

i left my heart in california, while i have an understanding that i signed my life to this

to a country in which holds my heart amongst its depths

i love you my weakness

though you feel abandoned not a day goes by where i do not cry

for the happiness in my life is not by my side

but for you i dont mind to put my life on the line

i dont mind to leave while you live

just be patient please with my heart

as it bleeds and beats for you

so for this sailor, please wait for me...

i promise to come back to you

either alive or in a box

to my love, remember me

i suffer just like you and feel the empty space in next to me in this bed

just as you do

so to my heart in which you are

my strength in which guides me this far

my love for you, forever

and always, im yours

forever and always

the last words you whispered

as you kissed my forehead my last night next to you....

i remembered your words, still now

i hear your voice breaking as the dawn crept upon our faces, as we waited

for the hours to come for me to go

but this temporary time apart will soon be over

and together we will soon be

patience please my love

wait for me

forever and always,

the sailor that shares a lonely heart just like you
