Beware the Dream

Beware the Dream

A Poem by Oolu

Beware the dream, a happy day indeed,
Beholden to the cloak of silent reverie
Long life', for what, for why you say,
Plant the seed and let it grow
Beware the dream, for sure it will come true,
Bewildered eyes gazing at the rainbow,
Intent to see the colours, the beauty of your life,
Conjoured from the ashes of distance run.
Beware the dream, the lure of vacant hope,
Belligerantly defying reason's solid stance,
Is it right or is it wrong?,
Or is it just going to make you strong?
Beware the dream, although it's only makebelieve,
Bewildered by the multitude of choice,
Stand up high and wave your mighty wand,
Your dreams have led you home.
