Do They KnowA Poem by ChrissyEveryone fighting their own battle words hurt hope this short poem helps you see that? No matter what you're beautiful and strong.Silly girl all dress in black. What are you hiding with your messy hair covering your face. What are you hiding under your long sleeve sweatshirt. You hold yourself as holding a sick child in your arms. You walk the halls as quiet as can be. You sit in the back of the room staring down at the floor at your feet. The teachers never call your name like you were never alive. But do they know your story? Do they know what you're going through? Do those kids who make you feel worst then you already feel know? Do they know you been physically and sexually abused and emotionally? That those words hurt? That calling you a w***e a s**t do they know you were raped by your own step father? Do they know stuff has been thrown at you that it gave you those scars that they can't see? Do they know you have marks on you whole body from being grabbed hard and slammed to the closest thing. And they call you weak. But you're still trying fight the pain you feel everyday. Those cuts and burn marks you left on your thighs and wrists and the tears you have cried ? Do they know the battle you're fighting? Do they?
