The actress

The actress

A Poem by Chrissie Alben
"

I'm obsessed with writing that draws you to a different time period.

"

Humming of the crowds settle deep within,

hints of tint beneath thy feet

to set alight

upon thy night

a tale of mere memory.

To which within

I find the coves

hissing and gushing

light beneath sorrow

to the cries…

the utter and echo

loud upon beams

and seats…

Powder covered I

melodies upon thy

grasping and clinging to what has not been forged within…

Words sown truth and abrupt

scarlet framed and curled

as shippers sail across worlds so shall I paint the sky of words

Cue!

Curtain!

So it began

The tale of the lady and the leading man.
