When I was seven, I played a game of hide and seek with my little sister, Maggie. Back then I had no idea how special of a child I was. In my eyes I was just a girl with pigtails and ice cream stained on my dress. Maggie, barely four, said I was the best hider in the world and that she wished she could hide like me. I understand now how coldly ironic that statement had been. I wished I could hide… never to be found again. On that July day in 1985, I hid under my bed and waited for Maggie's red Jellies to come into view….
