Silence No More

Silence No More

A Poem by Chris Cariad

The silence shall be broken

The lies no more,

For each begotten life

I lay in darkness.

Thinking about this locked path

We as a world have thrown ourselves in,

Fretting over the life of tomorrow.

Our world is in a locked cage

But the truth shall set them free?

Free from those lies we have embraced

And the bondage that has tied many a man down?

The chain of life must be broken

For the truth to be told.

It's our generation to have these voices raised

And erase a world of false truths and enemies of peace.

These risen voices will cross many

And anger a generation that

Has kept the streets on lockdown from these revolutionists.

These word's reverberating around each corner

Gathering its warriors of change,

Till the lies have all but been wiped away

And the truth standing as the light of every soul.

This world will be enslaved by these lies

And destroy a world dying to survive.
