Timeless

Timeless

A Poem by Chris Cariad

The love I gave to you

In the sands of time,

Is now rocked by the waves of thunder.

The lies I told to my dying soul

Is now growing farther from the docks at home.

I ruined my chance for a lasting love

Because I never could open up.

You where my light,

But I could never shine.

I let those dark waves be our decline.

I shall fight for you my dear

To bring back your humble face.

Look around for this port of love,

I want to once again be saved by your grace.

I fight these waves

And pass this path of disaster.

To these calming pristine waters

As the current became my master.

I find my way home to these loving ports,

Falling into your arms

As the waves surround us.

In the sands of time our love shall stay

Forever we will be boundless.
