The Love and Life I Through Away

This is writen about a time many years ago when I was going through a bad time. When you look back at your life, in my opinion its the bad times and mistakes that mould you into a better person.

The Life & Love I Through Away

Sinking deeper into this hole

This hole I used to call my home

Now it’s become just a lonely room

Now glass in the windows n filled with gloom

I’m sinking further now every day

Just me and the needle stuck in my vein

Now I’ve landed I’ve hit the bottom

My souls departed long forgotten

No matter how much or what I take

The pain won’t fade or go away

The cruel irony of it is to me

The things I take to ease the pain

Are the things that got my addicted this way

I’ve only got myself to blame

The reasons that I’m in this place

Filling my veins to ease the pain

Is the love and life I through away

The angel’s heart I broke again

She had no choice but to get away

For I was the source of all her pain

My only wish is that she knew

The things I did I hated to

The forgotten names of forgotten girls

That ment so little in my world

The things I said to hide my guilt

That caused her tears and heart to wilt

I will forever be sorry with what’s left of my heart

I deserve all this karma that’s tore me apart

To anyone out there that’s doing the same

Stop what you’re doing before it’s to late

Don’t gain this curse and end up like me

Learning these lessons the hardest of ways

Love is a gift so don’t through it away

I’m living in hell and I’m here to stay

Be sure to say the things you mean

Tell her you love her each and every day

Make sure she knows her beauty proceeds

The angel above and all of your dreams

Too bad us humans have to learn the hard way. A lot of our pain would be absent if only we would be quick to follow your advice in the last verse. Why is it so? The professionals agree that saying your sorry and saying I love you are the two hardest things to do. Great poem!

Thank you very much Emily, much apriciated. It was a bad time in my life but the lessons I learnt have made me who i am. Life is a gift and to short to waste. True love with a special person is beautiful and rare and should never be taken for granted. It is just cruely ironic that I made my vast mistakes with the person i loved the most. If we had met now, we would have been together forever. But im just glad that the mistakes I made at that point in my life, made me a better person. I will forever be sorry with all of me heart that I caused her the pain that i did. thanks again Emily
