Who Are You?

Who Are You?

A Poem by Chris38
"

Sometimes the greatest enemy is yourself

"
Why do you keep haunting me?
I don't even know who you are
Are you a ghost from the future or a ghost from the past?
You're my shadow in the bright sunlight, you're a  sillhouette in the night
You're my mirror in the morning and my nightmare at night
You know my every thought and anticipate each move
I think you want to kill me but your love for me prevents it
I reach out to touch you but you're never there
I hear your laughter of relief at the dawn and your crying in the night
You've touched my heart in so many ways yet you've tasted it's blood

So true, so true. This is very dark and intense but like you say, the greatest battles we ever fight are with ourselves. Very nicely done.

This is really nice, Chris. This is so true. Our greatest enemy is really ourselves, sad to say.
