Just a dream...

Just a dream...

A Poem by Christopher Paul

In my arms she lay
Breathing gently
Motionless we stayed
The warmth of her body
The smell of her skin
Could feel her soul deep within
She turned to me
She smiled
I didn’t say a word
Just closed my eyes
She turned to the other side
A tear drop rolled
I felt her cry
My arms fell empty
I was waiting for a goodbye

I opened my eyes
And she was gone
Found myself all alone
In the dark, on my bed
I knew it was a dream
Just my imagination
As real as it seemed
As real as it felt
I know she’s dead
But there were tear drops
On the side she slept

Ooh spooky and sad. This is well written and keeps the readers attention through the whole thing. Good job!
