And in one cold embrace....

And in one cold embrace....

A Poem by Christopher Paul

On his bed he lay
Trying hard to sleep
Tossing and turning restlessly
For his mind is not at ease

Ouestions of tomorrow
Thoughts of yearterday
And with a heart full of sorrow
One's soul can easily stray

But his worries cease
As he hears a whispher
His mind is at ease
For he knows it's her

She calls his name
He tries to ignore
But the feeling's the same
It hurts to the core

Wounds heal
But scars remain
Sometimes the pain's too real
Can drive one insane

His soul is at peace
As he finally accepts
His pain starts to decrease
And he falls asleep
As she crawls into bed
And in one cold embrace
He's happy
Even though she's dead

Well that had a sad ending. This flows really nicely though. Good job.

The rhythm and the rhyme all flows together in one glorious master piece. I really love this piece and I'm putting this in my favorites! You portray longing amazingly well! I love this!
