Hole in the Wall

This is a poem about a man who has had his heart ripped out and the ghost of his past lover still haunts his heart, until another woman comes into his life and restores his love.

There was a hole in my wall 
The house was incomplete 
There was a hole in my wall 
A ghost I must defeat 

I was looking for a carpenter 
Someone to fill the hole 
I was looking for a carpenter 
Someone with a heart of gold 

Yet the ghost it still remained 
6 dreadful months had passed 
Yet the ghost it still remained 
A reminder of the past 

Finally one day 
There was a knock upon my door 
Finally one day 
She saw what it had bore 

I took a risk, I let her in 
She came and filled the hole 
I took a risk, I let her in 
And saw her heart of gold

Even though I'm not into ghosts and all, I must honestly say this poem is solid and deep. I like how it has that happy ending and its like I wanted more when I reached the end. Keep up the good work!
