Tonight I walk an empty street
with tear drops rolling down my cheeks.
I see your face within my mind;
for just a moment, there is no time.
I could walk a thousand miles
for just one purpose; to see your smile.
There’ll be no heaven left for me
by the time my soul has been set free.
 

Tonight I walk an empty street;
so hard to keep up on my feet.
I’ve walked a thousand miles and more;
fighting to make it to your door.
I wish to be there in your arms;
to hear your enchanting, angelic charms.
If my wish really could come true,
I’d have my heaven there with you.
