Crowded Mind

Crowded Mind

A Poem by The Mad Hatter
"

Everyone can use an escape from that little voice in their head once and a while.

"

Through the shadows
I will walk;
I will not stop
expressing thoughts.

I will travel
throughout time,
until I soothe
my troubled mind.

I will not stop to eat or sleep;
I will not stop pounding my feet
against the gravel on the road.
If I don’t speak out, I might explode.

The voices in my head
drive me from my bed;
they force me not to stop
pushing through my thoughts.

Oh how the voices get to me.
I dream one day that I’ll be free
from the voices for all time.
One day I’ll leave my crowded mind.
