Angel In The Mall

Angel In The Mall

A Poem by The Mad Hatter
"

A poem about a boy who sees a beautiful girl in the mall and instantly falls in love.

"

She sits in the window
staring into space:
a worried, saddened look
spreads across her face.

She holds in her a beauty,
that I before have never seen;
a beauty when in fairytales
belongs to princess or to queen.

Her hair is in her eyes;
her love is in my heart.
If she were to leave right now,
I could not bear to part.

Here, in this lonely, quiet mall
she is the most gorgeous thing.
She must be sent from high above,
‘cause I can see her Angel wings.

This poem is so sweet :) I can feel the longing, and I can imagine the boy sitting, watching her, loving her. I like the lines: ...a beauty when in fairytales belongs to princess or to queen..." But I think you can fix those up just a little to keep the flow going in the right direction. I love the idea, the imagery, that little phrase brings to the poem, though. Thanks for sharing :)
