Please Take My HandA Poem by James KayThis strap that holds my notebook together, Oh, if it were to break. You'd see all that is inside of me, Everybody that I hate. I covered it in hearts, Because I love everyone. I pinned this bracelet here, Because that's all that's left of Mum. On every page there is a memory, Or a face I'd like to kill. The suicide notes are endless.
The suicide notes are endless, but I'm not dead yet.
But just look at what this place has done to me: I was drowning letters in the bath last night. Just look at what it's done to us: We drink until we forget we're alive.
But I'm throwing this notebook down the mausoleum steps, So please take my hand. We're running away into that sunset. And we're never coming back. © 2008 James KayFeatured Review
