Soul Seeker

Soul Seeker

A Poem by T. L. O'Neal

I am the soul seeker

Searching the world for lost souls

Souls that are unwanted

For their life has taken its toll

Countless ones that are alone

And those that are thrown away

Those no one cared about

And those that didn’t want to stay

Those that who forgot

Who they were and why

Those with no purpose

And those that wanted to die

Those that died in fruitless wars

And those that starved from hunger

Those whose lives were tore apart

And those whose lives were meager

I am the soul seeker

Searching the world for lost souls

So many lost people

So many numbers untold

Those that died way too young

And those who couldn’t deal with life

Those whose hearts were broken

Or the ones that were looked on as lowlifes

Will anyone remember them

Does anyone really even care

Those that are here

Or those that died unfair

I’m looking for them

To give them all a home

For they will never have to wander

And there’ll be no reason to roam

I am the soul seeker

Searching the world for the lost soul

I will find them all

And their pain I will console

This is a switch from the usual cry for a lost love that
we see everywhere. You use a rather hypothetical
theme, seems like testing the air to if people who
understand the soul are there. I feel you grieving for
the lost and disadvantaged of the world.
You are deep in to your own thoughts and the soul
seeker is just your way of saying there is salvation.
I am not sure about the picture, but the style, the imagery
and the wording are excellent. Very, very professional.

I like this. I found one line that read funny to me. But maybe it was just me.

Those that who forgot
Who they were and why

What do you think?

Very beautiful. Well written. This poem reminds me of a story I have been told by my elders. I believe that their are souls out there that need to be found and directed in the right direction. Thanks for the read.

Reading this poem, i am struck by the sad tone of it. A never-ending task that will never be completed. Haven't we advance beyond the stage of caring only for ourselves? Wish, i had the answer to this question. Your poem ask more questions to the reader than it answers. Which, is good. We should think about our actions and their impact on those around us. Thank you for sharing this poem.

WOW, Your poem is the ultimate! It's an awesome reminder that those lost are never really forgotten and they have a place in the mighty mansion. This is glorious! Your last stanza gives me goosebumps. Your poem is really stellar!
