War

War

A Poem by Gionelly Kiss
"

The war within yourself is often the most powerful. This is an attempt to describe that.

"

I drew my weapon, pointed, aimed,

While wisps of hair like satellites flocked

To hover about my ecstatic presence

In the wind they wildly whipped to and fro

Something human but alien to them

My foes, enemies, an armored wall stood

Though soldiers of the world

Now beings of the wild

With blood-lust cries they prey

Upon the alien and human: Myself

Myself, passionate and unreal

Impelled by an invisible force within

I become a wave supernatural

Flooding their foundations

Boring holes through their walls

The signs of battle disappear

As clouds dissipate to shine on my rising joy

With victory on one shoulder

I walk forward with pride on the other

Unimpeded now I follow my dreams

No fears and emotions to battle

I will certainly succeed

The battle is epic. I didn't catch the hints of having this as an internal battle though. Somehow, I see it more like a real battle between opposing forces. Even so, I think it can work either way. Nice imagery.

Keep Writing. ^___^
