April 9th.A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.this is what happens when you drink vodka like water.
I went nuts in the yellow tube of madness
practicing mcdonalds playplace politics squeezing past crazy gaptoothed smiles comfortably thinking of you. Light pollution killed the sky so we watched the sad massacre in silence. Nine drinks later, the universe began to turn on us. The trees grew longer branches with enormous leaves, suffocating the sun. Even in the dark we could smell the cigarettes baking on the pavement. I felt you somewhere else and knew you were hers, again. F**k the bullshit. I'm leaving you where I found you, and if you too are cunning then learn to lie better. Wet walk alone to the parking garage as the clouds melted back onto the earth. The youth has it out for themselves taking turns licking the moon to get to the center of of what? of you and me and everything in between? of the cop watching us down the street? of this rooftop and all of us dead down beneath street level putting the fear of god into your sandwich cause we all know what's gonna turn to s**t faster. I still feel responsible for ruining you. you were from the part of town where every kid has a bank account. I'm from the part of town where they're too scared to put a bank. now you drop acid and chew wires just to feel the buzzzz When did everything get so f*****g complicated? © 2010 Chloe Madison Taylor.Author's Note
