Stale Taste Of Starvation.

Stale Taste Of Starvation.

A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.
"

I'll bring the hammer, you bring the noise. We'll break this silence.

"

Going through the motions until the functions fail

tracing the last six months with a faltering pen.

Scanning the room for something new

going pee just to have an excuse to leave the room.

Two weeks gone missing,

I spent them stoned.

never completely anywhere

in crowded places, completely alone.

Sucking down the flame

until I feel it scorch my brain

stare hard at the back of my eyelids

Search the walls for holes

Try to suck some oxygen from the outside.

My thoughts are skipping and scattering around the room.

Panic flipping over and probing my gut

struggling to hold on to a conversation

if there is a God he will let me pass out.

Stuck in the bedroom pulsing with music

and the sick enjoyment I get from hunger.

The stale taste of starvation

exhausted just from lying here.

Author's Note

Chloe Madison Taylor.
Not done. Nowhere near it.

It lacks a ending, and all the fillers.

You're so dope. As always.

"I'll bring a hammer, you bring the noise. We'll break this silence."

Yessss.

If anything just a stronger sense of direction to make us read it all and feel like we're traveling. But as writing, its alive.
