![]() Sedan.A Story by Chloe Madison Taylor. And with their shovels in hand, they will give warning; You will never be the same.
Your frozen feet will take you back inside the church, where you will spend the last of your sanity kneeling on the bathroom floor, wondering why its so clean when everyones hands are still so dirty. You will refuse to show any emotion besides anger towards your idiot cousins who were never there. They will not even know what kind of a car it was, how many cars were involved in the crash, or even how long your brother has had his license. You will rudely deny your mothers love, because no amount of understanding sideways glances can bring him back, nor will a fancy black dress she paid too much for. Even in a state of mind-numbing pain, you refuse to dress up. Rebellion as always, dresses are not your style, and the grass stains will constantly remind you where you were 11/29/08. You will look at those grass stains and remember the stains that covered your brothers clothes as they pulled him from the shredded bits of metal you used to call a car. And then you will remember the pools of blood. You will remember whose head they came from, you will remember that that same blood runs through your own veins, you will remember his smile, his eyes, his lack of temper, but you will learn to live without him, and for him, because like I said before,
You will never be the same. © 2008 Chloe Madison Taylor.Author's Note
