Where have I been.A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.A timebomb to your mental health, like phones ringing too early in the morning. interrupting what innocent thoughts you may have left. dreams where your fly is up and your hands are dry. dreams where your hands are clean and your head is clear. Like before, when George taught me how to fly 100 mph winds that always knew how to bring us home without red glittery slippers or little dirty dogs named mimi. When bunny rabbits were better than mapquest and sleep meant more than just resting. Before the walls saw the birds flying low, and knew, but never bothered to tell, that there would be downfall. Ashes to ashes, we all fell down in a cloud of smoke that left us coughing and crawling back to the car. Speeding away from devils hole we were the spark that started the fire we were the flames that chased the bunny rabbits away. and now the dust bunnies keep us all inside too scared to go outside too scared to go out in the wind, to learn how to fly because the walls know but never bother to tell there will always be downfall.
Love is only a timebomb to your mental health.
