Taylor.A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor. It's still hard to imagine the sun rising in the morning, when theres more funerals than there are birthdays. love doesnt come easy these days, and neither do we. But noone promised living would be easy, and noone swore the sun would keep shining. Never lower your standards for someone, or play by anyone elses rules but your own. It's hard to find words to say when your choking on your pride It's hard to bend over backwards for someone, when you have no idea which way is up It's hard to make it down the right path when theres nothing lighting the way It's hard to walk out into daylight when the sun comes out to scorch our skin And It's hard to put down the pills when there have been rumors of a genie in a bottle and you're wishing for a deep sleep. but don't say your goodbyes just yet, Taylor The moon seems to be packing up and moving out maybe the sun will come back and light your path back home, back to me, back to Jake It's still hard to imagine the sun rising in the morning, when theres more funerals than there are birthdays. But you've got a sunrise to watch close your eyes for noone. © 2008 Chloe Madison Taylor.Author's Note
