Kilo Kai Killed Me.

Kilo Kai Killed Me.

A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.
"

hangover.

"

the lack of sleep that numbs your brain

swallowing down pills so you wont feel pain

cursing the birds that are determined to sing

waking us up to headaches that sting

too hungover to answer the door

biting back memories of the night before

throwing the phone that rings louder than your head

only wanting to go back to bed

Expressing your ache on an internet site

telling everyone to go fly a kite

seeing a number smudged on your hand

probably the drummer from some s****y band

showering so you wont smell like a shoe

getting ready to go pick up the crew.

sucking down vodka so monday night can begin

because i havent learned my lessson,

im getting wasted again.

you're a great storyteller. i like poems that tell a story; so many are simply descriptive but don't actually take you anywhere. your words don't just sit on the page; they travel thru my eyes and take my brain to new places-thanks.

take care of your liver and it will take care of you. i can't imagine 27 days w/out a joint, much less 27 weeks.
stay strong.
