Evading Heartbreak.

Evading Heartbreak.

A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.
"

I definately think I like it.

"

Il plug up these old lungs,

in case you should chase my breath away.

il put some tape over my mouth

to keep me from begging you to stay.

il put some gloves over my hands,

in case these sweaty palms should show.

I'll fish out all the butterflies from my stomach,

so i can handle it when you finally go.

I'll clog up my tear ducts,

in case a tear should fall to the floor

I'll put cotton in my ears

So I wont hear when you head for the door.

I'll glue these feet to the carpet,

to keep me from following you out.

and youll still find your way to my heart,

I never had a doubt.

okay so since your open to suggestions...

and youll still find your way to my heart,

I never had a doubt.

well since he didn't come back to your heart yet i think instead of "i never had a doubt"
how about
"i have no doubt"
or
"i have not a doubt"

but otherwise i love,
well actually no matter what you do,
i love it.

that's how i feel.

i'm not sure if you enjoy advice or not,
but let me know,
i think i have a good suggestion.

I love this. Brilliant. Kind of a macabre love poem. Perhaps switch one of the 'I plug's to another verb? Just to avoid repetition? Other than that, well written!!!

You can try to do as many things in love... if that's what you mean, but nothing will end a feeling like this, it's hard to let go...
