Hurricane

She is a Hurricane

A whirlwind of emotion and drama

Her eyes shallow with sorrow

Only brightening when a new morning comes

But sometimes, she’d rather not wake up at all

 

Her heart beats to the rhythm of thunder

Her feet forming a dance amongst the clouds

Her feet take her away,

They allow her to escape the storm she brings

 

She has broken hearts and healed them

Bandaging wounds with the promise she won’t do it again

But how can trust be regained when it is lost within the waves of a tsunami

A tsunami she brought on herself

 

The water crashes down around her

Bringing her shield down

True colours are revealed

A vision of deceit and deception

 

Her hidden layers are exposed

She is no longer safe and secure amongst the clouds

The skies have cleared

Now she is left with nothing

 

 

She is alone, isolated from the clouds that brought her comfort

She continues her dance,

Enrapturing souls into her aura of enchantment

But they too, will be victims

Victims left battered and bruised

 

She is a Hurricane

Her dance continues

Fear is in her trail

Foolishness in her footsteps
