Love Itself

Love Itself

A Poem by Chloe.Telles
"

for my grandma.

"

You have eyes.

You see the ones you love smiling.

You see them grow.

even though-

You don't need eyes to know they love you.

You have ears.

You hear the ones you love laughing.

You hear them saying "I love you,γιαγιά."

even though-

You don't need ears to know they love you.

You have a heart.

You love.

You love what you see and what you hear.

even though-

You don't need sight and hearing to feel.

Through your eyes, we see

that we don't need to hear

the definition of love.

We need to hold onto love.

           You are Love itself.

Chloe.Telles.,

You tell of pure and innocent love, the unconditional kind. We find ourselves trapped within the confines of a different definition, now a day.

The untainted love of a grandma - we can tell her all that ills us, she loves us still the same. This is an absolutely great poem, not many speak of Grandparents in their poetic journeys... that is why I adore this poem.

Speaking of unconditional love, our spirits should know when love is pure - this truth you speak, however, when it comes to a spouse or boyfriend - should we not feel the same?

I am so glad I stumbled upon this write today; it was 'write' where I needed it.

Good job, Chloe~

Thank you for sharing,

Legacy

P.S.~ Have you entered into any of the contests for Poetic Infusion Society? If not, this would be perfect for Love (completely original subject).
