Left Behind

Left Behind

A Poem by snapstache

I cry the tears,

From over the years,

Tears I cried,

From the inside,

Tears that I,

Have managed to hide,

From you,

As you hit me,

While you went insane,

Tears from,

The abusive years,

That now are behind,

Now that they lower you,

Into the ground,

Your drug ridden body,

Is covered with dirt,

How it should be,

Hidden from the human eye,

I cry for no reason,

Just for show,

For I’m glowing with joy,

That you are now gone,

Dead and buried,

Left behind.

Some people in a life are born to die. I had brother aiming at drugs and bad roads. They broke my heart. But the peace was death for the people who cannot face life unless drunk or high. A powerful poem. I'm glad it is fiction. This would be a bad life for someone. I like the strength and purpose of this poem.
