Total Abuse

Total Abuse

A Poem by snapstache

I grit my teeth,

As my back slowly burns,

As it is pressed,

Closer to the stove,

Mommy wont stop,

Her little game,

That's getting me killed,

While dad goes insane.

The full plate,

Set in front of me,

Makes my eyes burn,

As she set it in front of me,

"Five seconds,

That's all you got,

To clean out this pot",

As I raised the fork,

Up to my mouth,

She pulls it away,

With a laugh.

Mommy,

Mommy,

Why do you do this to me?

Abuse,

Abuse,

And pain for me.

Toys,

Toys,

Are all Johnny gets.

Tender kisses,

On his lips,

Crying,

Crying,

Is all I ever do.

Abusing,

Abusing,

Me with your shoes.

Poem is powerful. A cold and sad story. Parent need to understand. Children are small adults who need to feel loved and needed. You wrote a strong poem. Made me think. A outstanding poem.
