Lost

Following your footsteps,

My biggest mistake so far,

For you don't know,

Where you're going,

You're leading my blindly,

Down a dangerous path,

That no one dares to tread,

But I follow obediently,

Thinking I'm safe,

In your care,

When even you,

Have no clue what lies ahead,

We're walking in darkness,

With no torches,

To light the path,

Bumping into walls,

But I continue to follow you,

Not able to see that danger,

That your smile blocks,

Suddenly your presence is lost,

And so am I,

Without my anchor,

I'm falling,

Our link is broken,

Never to connect again,

For you left me,

Stumbling in the darkness,

All alone,

Scared,

Never to see the light again.
