Grief

Grief

A Poem by snapstache
"

another poem for my dead grandmother...

"

We gathered round the huge, black hole,

As they laid you in,

The tears ran down my cheeks,

I see your pale face one more time,

Before they shut the top and cover you with grime,

I dug my face into my father's arm,

As we walk away I think back,

To the time we got stuck in quicksand,

While we were looking for flint,

I remember the time I let a mouse into the house,

And how you screamed and cried,

You even cursed,

But we laughed about it afterwards,

Now I realize how sweet the brownies tasted,

How much you worried for me,

I think about how excited you were,

To know about my camp,

Now it all seems so bittersweet,

Now that there's no more you and me,

So I climb into the car,

Ans I continue to grieve.

Its no use,i tried to talk to you to stay a while..and to not leave..
i stayed beside you days and nights, tried to keep you alive
i tried to fight death itself, almost played like God,wanted to keep you around
too early i thought for you to leave, but i knew..so i kissed your cheeks
but you just stared ,a tear dropped down your face
then you just smiled, and i knew you would leave..its time
now tears are for us and too much grief..
very sad write..
