Slipping Away

Slipping into the dark...

My hands were sweating on the bars,

My head pounding from the heat,

Hands aching,

Heart racing,

Not wanting to let go,

Wanting to win,

I felt the blood flow from my hands,

Thirty minutes,

It was time,

I couldn't hold any longer,

I prayed to God I'd be okay,

I let go and fell into the dark.

I guess its sort of about someone who makes a wrong choice and how they feel like they won't ever see the light again.
