Maybe the One

Maybe the One

A Poem by Chloe Marie

I think I have found him.

The one who will rescue me from this silence.

If only he knew of the abyss that I live in, if only I could tell him.

Why does this fear crush my will to tell him?

Why cant I form the words that will save me?

The world is cruel to give me someone who could save me.

Only to know I wont ask it of him, so he wont see the side of me I hide away.

Afraid to show the world my pain for fear of rejection.

I’m suffocating and there is no way out besides to say it, but the words are frozen on my lips.

I’m a coward doomed to sit in this silence forever.

Will he accept me, problems and all?

Or will he turn and leave me to face them alone?

Should I give him the chance to decided?

Or should I leave him in the dark?
