My Valentine

My Valentine

A Poem by MemeQueen

He was the answer to her questions,
And the shoulder she cried on
She was the only one that took his hand,
And waited for his storms to pass
He looked to the sky and saw the expanse of the universe,
And she saw the beauty of the stars
She wondered at his knowledge,
And looked to him for wisdom
He was what kept her strong,
When the weakness overtook her
She looked at him and saw the beauty of his heart,
Even though his distorted mirror shows otherwise
He held the weight of the world on his shoulders,
And she held him when there was no other way to help
She felt unstoppable in his presence,
And that the sky was the limit
He was what kept her standing,
Even when she couldn't feel the ground beneath her
She felt she was on the right side of luck,
When they were simply just being
He knew the language of music,
And awed her whenever he'd converse
She had faith for the two of them,
Because she knew that there was magic in the night
He knew that she'd forever be his valentine,
And that sparks flew at the touch of their lips
She was unsure about so many things,
But she was always sure about him
