Running Away
A Poem by MemeQueen
This, again, was born from boredom, having to look like I was doing work and thinking back to when I was depressed and felt like running away.
I want to go, Anywhere, I don't care, Just not here, Somewhere where no one knows me, Just be a blur in the back of their minds, Paris, Vegas, Japan, ANYWHERE! Somewhere to go, Somewhere to live, Somewhere to die, Somewhere, Anywhere, not here.

That's brave to want to just run away. I remember before I even started driving, that traveling about a half hour away seemed like another planet to me!! lol We visited every president's house from the first one "just a foundation remains" to Kennedy, I think it was. Visited all the states in America, about 100+ cave systems, and thought that was my world getting bigger. Then, my family was visiting Europe, grandma is going to Puerto Rico, cousin is moving to Thailand, other cousin moves to Japan, and I'm learning about a family tree and wishing to find those places to kind of return to. : ) Getting kicked out when I was younger, while chewing my food at the dinner table, to only be kicked to the snow.... hurt like Hell, and that world got a little scarier after that. Finding some place to die was easy. It found ME and my mind accepted it after so long of wondering when that would click in me. It's different now and after seeing so many of my friends die from those kinds of situations, and much worse ones, it changed!! Your last line makes the poem not sound so "final", but more of a dreaming sort of quality, just wishing away at a star to do something different and in a happier place. : ) xoxo -Mark
