Scars

Scars

A Poem by MemeQueen
"

I wrote this mainly about a friend who was being abused by her boyfriend/the father of her child and I just wished she'd gotten out of the relationship earlier.

"

My tears are falling for you,

The water's flowing from hatred I haven't seen,

My eyes are stinging from your words,

My sobs grow quieter,

As you grow louder,

My blood's seeping away,

From where you've cut,

You've cut too deep,

It will leave a scar,

A scar to remind me of you.

As I'm walking out the door,

You say I'll regret it,

I say you'll regret ever touching me,

I will turn my life around,

You won't be in it.

I'm walking away from the hate and the hurt,

The hurt you've caused my family and I.

I'm packing and you're yelling,

I'm packing and you're holding a gun,

You're holding a gun and I'm still walking out,

I'm walking out,

You're out of my life

For good this time,

But one day you'll remind me why I ever loved you.
