Dark memoriesA Poem by Rosa LeeA tween girls dark memories from when she was a young child.
I remember when daddy beat mommy
After, he proceeded to beat baby brother sonny I hid in the closet Waiting for death to set I was only four But my emotions were always so sore Mommy should have left dad But she didn't and now I'm mad He stabbed her that night It was a god awful sight Blood all over the floor and things daddy use to hord I remember me saying 'help me lord' God did save me That's why I'm living and can see Mom why didn't you leave dad Now my life is a mess, always so sad You ruined my life dad,now it's not the same The word 'dad' why do I still call you that name? © 2016 Rosa Lee |
