Thanks for the Time

This poem is supposed to be said to a girl by her lover.

There was a time so lonely and dark,

I was clueless like a little boy in park.

No friends, no fun, no hope for future,

Everything seemed going against my nature.

Just when I thought, I am useless at heart,

Along came in life, you as a spark.

Unable to understand, how it happened,

Like a flash of starlight when everything blackened.

I was crazy for you, clearly obsessed,

As if Cupids had only me to possess.

Your smile, your voice, everything made me crazy,

Girl, you are the one, joyous, jolly and daisy.

Every time I see you, my heart skips a beat,

I love you so much, from head to your feet.

You may not know, how deeply I love you,

One day, for sure, I’ll be knelt to woo.

I may not be good, definitely not the best,

But you filled my heart, with love, life and zest.

You made me smile, you made me care,

So thanks for the time, Best Girl Ever.
