Merry nights

Merry nights

A Poem by Chin-hooi Ng
"

About Xmas and New Year celebration

"
The road has been
in a hurry
the wind and crystal
permeate the journey
shepherds on the outskirts of the white cold
convey the gospel of angels
stillness of the wilderness
innocence of the little girl
benevolence of Santa Claus
songs and hymn light up the night
of holy goodness
good news suffuse
like dainties on plates
like Brandy intoxicating the house
out on the balcony you may encounter the moon
the glitter of neon
the revelry across the street
the heart to heart
wrapped in ribbons
as you would understand
the bell sounding
about forgiving the past
blessing the future
no one sleeps
they share joy and laughter
and embrace gracious wishes
the world warm peaceful and pure
the fireplace roars
stockings bulge like pillows while
angels in the dream
smile.
