Imagine Me

Imagine Me

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua
"

A Poem about people sculpting others into a person they would be with.

"

  Frosty fingers grip my neck

their cold tips dig deep

till the spine tingles

and violently I shake.

  Shake to be free

of your icy gaze

torturing my soul

stilling my heart.

  Though your breathe

freezes my legs in place

leaving only sight

so I may know what you do.

  My skin cracks

as you begin to touch my face

brushing across like a lover

only I feel nothing but fake.

I relate and know all too well of what it's like when another tries to control and mold us into someone we are not. I cannot stand it! So I've had to find security in order to be free of the control and abuse one has inflicted on me and mine. It is sad that a person like this at first, was the one we thought we had some kind of feelings for, only to find they're really all along just fake in their charming ways. All they ever want to do is destroy what good is left in a person, or to feel some kind of power in the control they tie us down with. Never again here. Never again.
