Alienable RightsA Poem by Chilson, JoshuaOur world is so corrupt by the value of a tree that we ourselves have fallen from the ability to speak and act according to our rights. Were not the land of the free.Money, fair and poor, are declined mercilessly, like a benign cancer.
The greedy, in white suits, with eyes on mankind, reach into your wallet.
These thin sheets, pressed, inked, rise above the human soul, leading man astray.
Lenders, borrowers, copay, credit.
All the same, but were sinking, building box cities, afraid to protest.
As the rich, socially prostitute, the gullible new minds, to live indebted.
This sadism, is monetary bondage, and the pursuit of happiness, denied like a loan. © 2011 Chilson, JoshuaAuthor's Note
