Miscreants Love

Miscreants Love

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua
"

The heart is more resilient than most believe. Most put it in this defensive shell leaving it to collect dust and find later it's hard to dust off the heart.

"

 My understanding,

of your complex behavior,

leaves me blinded,

as you have no reason.

 To direct,

this violent sadness,

onto a man,

seeking happiness.

 For those words,

are like salt to a wound,

makes the heart wince,

though I still stand.

 Stand before you,

with an open mind,

speaking justified,

yet I will not blame.

 For love found,

while on defense,

has a chalk line chance,

in this world of miscreants.

About
I write poetry from life experience, though most won't seem that way as I never get into specifics to the events that bring about my work. I'm a silent individual for the most part which doesn't ma.. more..
