Liquid Fire

Liquid Fire

A Poem by Chilson, Joshua
"

Black and white, the forward and easy. To many wish for vibrant beings, mysterious, shadowed, ever changing like the chameleon.

"

 A man of fire,
walks uneven waters,
never to be extinguished,

 His flames may dim.
as delicate waters await,
to seep within, to put out,

 Though he's not embryoplastic.
that wet toxic touch,
won't change him.

 He's someone imperfect,
an abstract sculpture,
whose tears burn to ash.

 Yet you favor,

those lush pastels,

over the charcoal that is him.

Very deep and beautiful poem.
